That is why the Indian motorcycle community is enthusiastic because Yamaha is planning to reintroduce the RX 100 in early 2025. This bike was very common in the middle of the twentieth century, specially up to the early part of this century and is specialized to hit the markets again.
Blending Old and New
The new RX 100 model will be launched by Yamaha in the market by January ’25. This new model will blend the traditional look of the old RX 100 with additional features from the latest technology. The first RX 100 model came into the market with special features such as great performance, special exhaust sound and relatively easy handling.
What to Expect
Engine and Performance: The new RX 100 will incorporate a new four-stroke mudular engine suitable for the present times and should be somewhere in the range of 150cc — 200cc to meet our current emission norms.
Design: The bike will retain the classic look with a fuel tank as slim as possible, a flat seat and minimalist body panels. It will also have future advanced element such as LED illuminate and digital-analog combination meter.
Riding Experience: There will be also improved suspension system and the new model will have disc brakes.
Technology: It may include the connection to Smartphone, orientation, and varied modes of riding.
Price and Launch Date
It is believed that the new RX 100 will cost between ₹1,40,000 to ₹1,50,000. This price is justified due to the company’s positioning strategy and features of its products. Yamaha may have different models as a way of covering all the needs of the customers. This bike is expected to be rolled out in the market in late January, 2025.
Market Impact
The RX 100 will affect the 150cc-200cc motorcycle segment and directly rival motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda H’ness CB350. In this market, Yamaha has a powerful brand behind it and the RX 100 has an already mythical status.
